Since 2019, the Bucksbaum-Siegler Institute for Clinical Excellence has partnered with the hArt of Medicine to offer a physician coaching program designed to support Bucksbaum Faculty Scholars by helping these healthcare providers foster respectful, trusting, and empathetic patient and family interactions.
Through this initiative, over 40 faculty members have benefited from personalized, one-on-one coaching with professional certified coach and hArt of Medicine founder, Diane Rogers.
Building on this success, the Bucksbaum-Siegler Institute collaborated with Ms. Rogers to develop a coach training program for Faculty Scholars. This four-month program combines didactic learning with practical experience, equipping five Scholars with the skills to serve as physician coaches. By training Faculty Scholars as coaches, the Institute is expanding access to individualized coaching, fostering personal and professional growth, and strengthening the culture of clinical excellence.
