Cristle Ike
2025 Medical Student Scholars
Cristle Ike graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Health and Societies, concentrating in Race, Gender, and Health. Ever since university, she has been involved in research centered around community-based health equity, SDOH, and health justice. As an undergraduate, Cristle co-founded and led the Health for African Immigrants Program (HAIP), where she conducted a community health needs assessment and co-created CHAMP, a culturally grounded community health worker initiative developed in partnership with African immigrant communities in Philadelphia. After graduating, Cristle worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator with Penn Medicine’s Center for Health Justice and Nemours Children’s Health, supporting programming and mixed-methods research on resilience among children and families facing adversity, including immigration-related stress, homelessness, and trauma.
As a medical student at Pritzker, she serves as co-coordinator of the Washington Park Free Clinic and is continuing her involvement in research focused on health justice and access to care in marginalized communities.
