The Bucksbaum-Siegler Institute for Clinical Excellence Speakers Bureau connects our scholars and University of Chicago physicians with academic medical centers and health systems nationwide. This initiative provides a platform for experts to present on key clinical topics while incorporating the Institute’s mission and work in clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and medical ethics. By fostering these collaborations, the Speaker’s Bureau enhances knowledge-sharing, strengthens institutional partnerships, and broadens the impact of the Institute’s commitment to improving doctor-patient relationships and advancing compassionate care.
Past presentations topics include: “When Doctor Becomes Patient”, “End of Life Care”, and “Family Communication in Pediatrics/Geriatrics/Palliative Care”. Other options could include, but are not limited to: “Health-Care Disparities and Shared Decision-Making”, “Well-Being/Work-Life Harmony”, “Role of AI in the Doctor-Patient Relationship”, and “History of the Doctor-Patient Relationship”
If you’re interested in being a part of the Speakers Bureau as either a presenter or host, please contact Frank Inglima, Program Manager finglima@bsd.uchicago.edu.
